The brand is the beginning of a specification
Write down the exact model, not just the manufacturer name. Then identify who fabricates, supplies, surveys and installs the finished product. These can be different businesses, and the quotation should explain their roles. A brand can offer several ranges with different opening methods and details.
Origin glazing: a buyer’s guide
Origin has distinct bifold, sliding and internal-door ranges. Choose the product family and exact model first: comparing an Origin badge with another brand leaves too many differences unresolved.
BRAND RESEARCHSmart Systems glazing: a buyer’s guide
For Smart Systems, identify both the aluminium system and the business making the finished unit. Visofold bifolds and AluSpace internal glazing answer different needs; the fabricator, glass, hardware and installation remain important parts of the order.
BRAND RESEARCHCortizo glazing: a buyer’s guide
A Cortizo slider comparison starts with the exact system: COR Vision and COR Vision Plus are not interchangeable names. Review the complete frame, track and building detail alongside the slim central junction.
BRAND RESEARCHKorniche glazing: a buyer’s guide
For a Korniche lantern, confirm which generation, footprint and glass option is being offered. The room-side view, current upstand detail and chosen glass are more useful comparison points than a brand-only starting price.
BRAND RESEARCHAtlas glazing: a buyer’s guide
An Atlas lantern should be compared as a complete roof proposal: its layout, glass, finish, size basis and installation interface. Ask for the exact current lantern specification rather than assuming every Atlas roof product has the same details.
BRAND RESEARCHSchüco glazing: a buyer’s guide
When comparing Schüco bifolds, specify the exact folding system and finished configuration. AS FD 75 is a named system reference; it does not by itself identify the fabricator, glass, panel arrangement or installation service you are buying.
A useful shortlist has evidence attached
| Decision | What it means for your project |
|---|---|
| Layout | A drawing for your opening with movement, handing and clear passage. |
| Appearance | Visible frame dimensions and physical finish or hardware samples. |
| Performance | Information applicable to the complete quoted arrangement. |
| Delivery and service | A defined survey, installation and aftercare scope. |
Avoid a brand-wide winner
One system may suit a narrow daily-access opening while another suits a large glazed view. Price also changes with glass, finish and site work. Decide the project requirements first, then use the comparison guides to examine complete proposals. We do not present these pages as independent product testing or a confirmed dealership list.
