How the guide figures are calculated
Reviewed 13 October 2026. We take each recorded Glass Openings displayed price, add 10%, then round the unit figure to the nearest £5. Exact halfway amounts round up. Quantity is applied after rounding, so two of the same item cost twice the displayed unit guide.
These are our provisional VAT-inclusive retail planning figures. Glass Openings’ displayed site prices include VAT, confirmed by telephone on 13 October 2026. The 10% uplift is applied to that VAT-inclusive figure; VAT is not added a second time. The builder shows the net amount and included VAT at 20%. The final quotation confirms the tax treatment, exact product, inclusions and availability before ordering.
A range starting price is not a quotation for a particular size. Source product names identify the reference, not a confirmed supply partnership or a promise of identical products. No competitor installation charge, warranty or lead time has been adopted.

Single-door and French-door cill allowances differ. The configurator charges have not been verified for every width, so these remain planning allowances. The builder includes priced choices only for matching reference products.
Trims, extenders, blinds & hardware
Add these to your builder brief for an itemised quote. No reliable charge was visible for trims or standalone frame extenders. Handle finishes and some window cills were listed without a clear surcharge; that does not mean they are free. Record the finish, quantity and lengths in your notes.
Already included?
The recorded stock bifold references include on-frame trickle vents, a 150mm sub cill, a standard threshold and standard handle. The builder does not add another charge for these items. Changing that specification needs a new quote.
Separate 90mm aluminium cill lengths
Anthracite grey reference, priced per piece using the source’s explicitly VAT-inclusive length table. Source product was out of stock when checked. Compatibility and current availability require confirmation; do not add these automatically when a cill is already included.
